The Group Microplastics and Health is an informal, independent, and non-partisan platform for dialogue. It is led by Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) and supported by the Plastic Soup Foundation (PSF), which serve as the Secretariat. Both organizations are registered in the EU Transparency Register, ensuring accountability and adherence to EU regulations.

 

The Interest Group will begin its work in January 2025 for an initial two-year period, with the possibility of extending operations until 2029. This webpage provides timely and accurate information about its members, events, news, and recordings of discussions. Details about financial contributions are published here to ensure transparency. Efforts are made to maintain a balanced representation of party affiliations among MEPs, and an annual activity report will document the group's initiatives and progress.
